Enterprise Eligibility

URJA is intended for growth-oriented rural enterprises linked to the SHG ecosystem.

An eligible enterprise must meet the following criteria:

Ownership

The enterprise must be owned by:

Nature of enterprise

The enterprise must be primarily engaged in manufacturing or services, such as:

Food processing

Textiles and handloom

Handicrafts and bamboo products

Tourism and hospitality

Repair and maintenance services

Digital and technology-enabled services

Other Rural Manufacturing & Services

Pure trading or retail-only enterprises will not be supported.

Minimum average turnover

The enterprise must demonstrate the following average turnover for the previous two financial years:

Enterprise category Minimum average turnover
Registered enterprise with GST ₹20 lakh
Unregistered group enterprise ₹15 lakh
Unregistered individual enterprise ₹12 lakh

Enterprises should also:

At least two-thirds of supported enterprises will be women-owned or women-led, and not more than 50% of the supported enterprises will be individual enterprises.
